As a part of its on – going service to the community of employees of the TVS Group, Madurai, Sri T S Rajam, the eldest son of Sri T V Sundaram Iyengar thought it fit to build educational institutions, primarily for the benefit of the children of employees. Accordingly a Primary School was established in 1961 in TVS Nagar, a housing colony established by the employees of TVS on a co-operative basis at Madurai. This was followed by starting a Higher Secondary School in 1963. On June 6, 1964, Lakshmi Vidya Sangham (LVS) named after Srimathi Lakshmi Ammal, wife of T V Sundaram Iyengar was formally established and registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, intended to pursue educational activities.      Read More >>
